Procurement and Asset Control Technician
Job Objective – Assists in purchasing, maintaining, auditing and reporting on inventory of servers, desktops, laptops, copiers, software licenses and peripherals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Procurement – Purchase, audit and maintain inventories of all servers, desktops, laptops, copiers, software licenses and peripherals for all company sites. Maintain proper paperwork of these purchases including, securing purchase orders with proper information, processing invoices and documenting and tagging assets. Maintain organization of the paperwork before during and after the purchase for accuracy, budgeting and historical analysis. Assist in tracking purchases with budgeted amounts to stay within budget. Process returns, defects and incorrect orders for proper credit. Research, evaluate and recommend new technology to improve the purchasing and asset control workflow. Field level one question from accounting regarding charges for purchases. Create reporting and metrics to improve annual processes e.g. aging report to assist in annual desktop and laptop purchasing decisions.
Asset Control – Owner of the Track IT ticketing and asset control software Responsible for trouble shooting daily issues On-going updates to categorization of tickets Generating reports for the Director of Network Administration Software updates and patches Track and maintain warranties and support contracts for servers, desktops, laptops, copiers, software licenses and peripherals, to insure service support is available when needed. Update Track It inventory database. This will involve coordination with desktop support to keep audits up to date and insure they are working properly. Complete in progress process to use SCCM and Track IT as a cross reference for insuring accuracy in both AD and Track IT. Make sure audits are performed on a regular basis to keep a current snapshot of what is installed on computers for more accurate license accountability. Maintain levels of inventory so there is no disruption in supply when an item is needed. Such as desktops, laptops, etc.
Licensing Compliance – Track windows licenses of operating systems and applications for computers and servers for true-up with Microsoft per our EA agreement.

Maintains current operating knowledge of all job-relevant legal and regulatory requirements through the successful completion of mandatory compliance and regulatory training and attendance at all mandatory regulatory compliance activities.
Education, Skills and Experience Required: Excellent organizational skills. Associates degree in IT or related field and/or equivalent work experience. Working knowledge of various computer hardware and software systems and applications. Minimum of three years job related work experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with all bank personnel. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks. Ability to quickly recognize the need to communicate issues to management for resolution, if beyond expertise or control. Ability to work a flexible schedule on occasion if needed.
Preferred – Previous experience with Track-It helpdesk ticketing and asset management software. Previous experience with SQL or Crystal Reports. Previous experience dealing with vendors
