Corporate Banking Relationship Manager

Job Summary: Responsible for the comprehensive management and continuous development of the bank’s corporate banking relationships, including sales, underwriting and credit risk management. Maximizes the profitability of customer relationships to the bank while efficiently and effectively meeting the client’s financial services needs.

Essential Functions: Administrative- Gathers appropriate information and underwrites loans/letter of credit according to bank guidelines. Acts within individual loan authority and presents credits for approval by appropriate authority, up to the Board of Directors. Maintains proper credit risk ratings and maintains loan documentation exceptions at an acceptable level. Monitors individual past-due loans and takes appropriate action to maintain delinquency rate at an acceptable level. Appropriately identifies and addresses problem credits. Works with Collections/Recovery departments, as necessary. Monitors and renews lines of credit appropriately. Monitors receipt of and reviews required ongoing documentation. Monitors loan covenants, as appropriate. Maintains acceptable charge-off ratio. Directs loan document preparation. Closes loans as approved by the appropriate authority. Conforms to bank policies and procedures and complies with all banking regulations that affect commercial lending operations. Performs other duties that may be assigned.

Business Development- Develops and expands new corporate account relationships for the bank, with specific emphasis on corporate relationship development. Promotes other bank products and services. Directly accountable for referrals to treasury management, wealth management , accounts receivable financing program, insurance, title insurance and corporate credit card sales.

Customer Service: Works with customers and prospects to develop the optimal financial services solutions to meet their financial services needs. Represents the bank in a positive and professional manner, both internally and at external functions. Becomes actively involved in the community. Assists other members of the department as needed. Maintains good working relationships with other bank personnel and external service providers.

Education, Skills and Experience: Required – Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field or equivalent banking experience. At least five years commercial banking experience at account manager level. Excellent public relations, communication and sales skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Extensive knowledge of corporate lending policies and procedures. Comprehensive knowledge of commercial banking laws and regulations. PC proficiency.
